The MHS ASTRA Club is collecting the following items for replenishing the boxes of personal supplies for children & teens supported by Social Services of Montrose. ASTRA members plan to fill 100 bags, 1/3 of which will be hand carried to a remote village (Chhulemu) in Nepal. The remaining boxes will be filled according to appropriate age groups to be distributed locally.
The ASTRA members have made some beautiful wreaths from locally-cut evergreen branches, decorative items, and festive bows, which they are selling as a fund-raiser to support projects such as the personal supply boxes. Several Altrusans pitched in to tie bows for the wreaths, and created an impressive number of beautiful bows during a recent Altrusa meeting.
